When did you start working at TSG?
Where are you from?
What do you do at TSG HQ?
I have the pleasure of designing the spreads and layouts for guides.
How did you arrive at TSG?
I had a job back in Boston where I was the only designer at a marketing firm. I had switched to working remotely in August and moved down to Richmond, and immediately fell in love with the area. I knew that I had to find a way to make my stay more permanent, so I began applying for jobs. I discovered TSG and just knew it was the next place I needed to work! I got the job offer and I don’t think I have ever been so happy.
What’s on your desk?
A colorful stack of past guides for inspiration, a “Live Local” water bottle, and an endless supply of clementines. Now if you ask what’s in the drawers, that’s where I hide the mess (I like to keep clean, but ultimately way over-prepare for things).
Words to live by?
Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is a part of life; getting back up is living.
Favorite vacation destination?
Anywhere with my family! I always enjoy stepping away from life to just soak in the laughs and share new memories.
Personal theme song?
“Valerie” by Amy Winehouse
The Other Woman. My mom and I sit and watch it every time it is on TV. It’s a guilty pleasure at this point and maybe an addiction.
What’s in your bag?
Way too many things! I commute from Richmond, so I feel like I always overpack for work. There’s lunch, two snacks, a water bottle, ChapStick®, two notebooks (one is for notes, the other for hand lettering), the bottom is always covered in pens/pencils, and so many more things I just am embarrassed to list out.
Best part about working at TSG?
THE PUPPIES!!! I live in a small apartment and can’t have a dog, so getting to come into the office and see them all the time is like therapy.
“That’s so TSG”:
Gold foil and a clean modern layout.
