When did you start working at TSG?
Where are you from?
What do you do at TSG HQ?
I copy edit and fact check all the guides before they are submitted for press and assist with other aspects throughout guide production. I also oversee all the edits and updates for the online directories.
How did you arrive at TSG?
Previously I worked as a biomedical researcher at UVA, and was not very happy in my field and was on the fence about finding a new job. One day during my lunch break I came across The Scout Guide’s Instagram story that stated they were hiring. Being an avid follower and lover of TSG for years, I took a leap of faith and submitted my resume and cover letter. Within four hours I was called in for an interview and the rest is history! Without a doubt, I believe it was in the stars for me to be a member of the TSG family, and I could not be more grateful or happy to be working for such a prestigious business.
What’s on your desk?
My laptop, my planners (weekly and daily), multiple guides (in gradient order), pens of all colors, a fresh cup of coffee, and a cork board on the side with inspiration and decoration. Under my desk is Hannah, my precious beagle mix.
Words to live by?
Favorite vacation destination?
Thailand. I traveled there a few years ago to volunteer with elephant conservation and fell in love.
Best part about working at TSG?
Being able to see all the local wonders each market has to offer and the team here at HQ. Also, being able to bring my dog to work is a major bonus.
What’s your TSG obsession?
Honestly, all the guides. I love looking through them and feeling like an insider in each of the fabulous cities. Whenever someone I know travels to one of our markets, I always make sure to give them one of our guides to get the most out of their trip.
“That’s so TSG”:
Didot font and gold foil…I’m seriously considering getting new stationery in this combination.
