Friday FIVE with Sarabeth Quattlebaum
The stories begin in our luxury print publication and continue online! To kick off a year of celebrating Volume 1 of The Scout Guide Southlake & Grapevine, we are starting a new weekly feature called “Friday FIVE”… a short Q&A highlighting what our Scouted Members love about their local community!
First Up: Event coordinating extraordinaire, Sarabeth Quattlebaum of Sarabeth Events. “Redefining Luxury One Detail at a Time”, Sarabeth and her team are located in the cutest office right off historic Main Street in Grapevine!
- Are there any local traditions or events that you look forward to every year? “The State Fair of Texas holds a special place in my heart – as I’ve never missed a year! It’s also a bucket list checkpoint to visit all 48 state fairs in my lifetime. This year, we’re going to the Arkansas State Fair in October.”
- Do you have a favorite park or outdoor space in your area? “I’m obsessed with our local trails. I often find a new trail each weekend on AllTrails and then head out to conquer. Sometimes the trail wins before I finish. My favorite local trail – Rockledge Park. My kids go mining for the “crystals” during the sunset and we always feel like the little private coves are our own beaches”
- You have 5 mins to go pick up a gift for someone, where are you shopping? “I head to my local farmers market and put together a “Harvest Basket” that includes a fresh plant or produce, a cookbook, local honey or jam, and a soy candle. Last time I gave this to a friend at lunch at least five other diners tried to take it from me ;-)”
- If you’re having a “self care day”, where are you going? “To a local bookshop or antiquing. I get so inspired for my next event by browsing architectural books”
- If you could only pick one local restaurant as your favorite, what would it be? “We work in Grapevine, but I live in Coppell and it would have to be Anamia’s Tex Mex“
