Classic, crisp, and always chic, stripes are a surefire way to add interest and charm to our interiors. Perpetually agreeable, they play nicely with other prints—as the above space spotted on Washington, D.C.-based Griffith Blythe Interiors’s Instagram proves—and serve as a safe choice for those who might be averse to taking risks with patterns. 

While we tend to not believe in design “rules” per se, we feel quite confident stating that you simply cannot go wrong with blue and white stripes. Above, the fresh palette provides the perfect backdrop for an airy living space in a project by Minneapolis’s Bria Hammel Interiors.
