Polo Style

Last Saturday, one of the most stylish events of the spring season took place just outside of Manhattan in Liberty State Park, where the fashionable set (including Joan Smalls, pictured above) gathered for a flute of champagne and equestrian entertainment at the eighth annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic. TSG Equestrian was there, and captured the fabulous ensembles (and pretty ponies). In addition to being excellent eye candy, the images offer plenty of inspiration for summer party attire; here are some of our favorite looks:

Not surprisingly, The Man Repeller’s Leandra Medine looked amazing decked out in flowy white and tassels (and to-die-for shoes). Ruth Wilson also looked crisp and current in black-and-white…we are coveting those culottes.

Cheers to two of our favorite classics: polo and champagne!

Two more of our favorite summer classics: All-white attire and stripes.

And yet another couple of classics we love: a chic sheath and a white linen suit. Bonus points for matching Panama hats.

Freida Pinto’s feminine frock is simply lovely, but we also appreciate Gary Pepper founder Nicole Warne’s summer look with a bit of edge achieved by pairing a summer dress with a crisp white blouse.

We adore Grace Bol in her wide-brimmed leopard print hat and laser cut top—such a modern take on the all-white outfit. And who knew combining a blazer, white eyelet, and sneakers could lead to a killer ensemble?

Whether in all white and expertly accessorized, wearing the hem length-of-the-moment midi skirt with polo-appropriate headgear, or effortlessly stylish in a breezy halter like Delfina Blacquier (shown with her husband, the impeccably attired polo champion Nacho Figueras), each of the women above are sporting looks we love.

Who can resist a sunny shade on a summer day? Emma Roberts is on point with her pale yellow dress, which gorgeously complements her hair (and the bottles Veuve Clicquot behind her!).

After all of this style inspiration, we went in search of items in the TSG network to help us round out our wardrobes for the summer….
