Pillow Talk

November is the perfect time to add texture and warmth to our interiors. During this month we tend to experience our first taste of winter, and layering on accessories is an excellent way to add sophistication in addition to combating the chill and dwindling daylight. And while we love a good throw, as the above space by Lisa Palmer of Jackson, Mississippi-based SummerHouse Interior Design proves, when it comes to making a room feel complete and fall-ready, a well-placed pillow can truly do the trick.

This room by New Orleans-based Melissa Miles Rufty of MMR Interiors is stunning with its neutral palette, pattern, and amazing portrait, and we love how the pillows provide just the right finishing touch. Subtle yet statement-making, they add symmetry and softness to an exquisitely calm and inviting space.

Yet again, SummerHouse’s Lisa Palmer artfully accents a piece with a gorgeous velvet pillow in our preferred color scheme for the season. It’s all in the details, and this accessory is utterly divine.

The above space by Baton Rouge’s Mcmillan Interiors is both comfortable and well collected. The set of antique prints above the settee are beautifully complemented by pillows below, which also serve to make the room feel warm and welcoming.

Inspired by the above spaces, we went in search of a few pillows from the TSG network to help us feather our fall nests. Here are a few of our favorites (clockwise from top left): Pair of Antique Embroidery Pillows from Bremermann Designs in New Orleans, Louisiana // Velvet and Antique European Metallic Embroidery Appliqué Pillow from Bremermann Designs // Antique Textile Embroidery Pillow from Bremermann Designs //  The Dance of Life Pichval Pillow from ibu in Charleston, South Carolina // 1850s French Silk Chenille Scroll Appliqué Pillow from Nancy Price Interiors in Jackson, Mississippi // Silk Pillow available from Bremermann Designs.
