Q & A
Liza Bronstein, Personal Insurance Advisor
Q: Narrative & Denver Agency have a long, rich history of supporting clients. Please share more about the company and what makes your approach so special?
A: We are experts in the high-net-worth personal insurance category. We are an independent agency, backed by 90 years of experience. We are not your typical insurance agency, as we truly believe in the power of hospitality by listening, empathizing and anticipating the unique needs of the successful people we serve. We understand the nuances of our clients’ lifestyles and apply that understanding when designing creative insurance programs.

Q: The company has worked with generations of families. What’s the key to these longstanding, trusted relationships?
A: We are a boutique agency and wouldn’t have it any other way. Being independent and privately owned since our founding in 1932 allows us to provide a level of service that the larger agencies often promise, but simply cannot deliver. You will never be routed through a call center with us. And you’ll be able to reach your agent or account executive directly – as each will provide their mobile phone numbers to you. We don’t just say we go “above and beyond”. We actually do.
Q: Tell us about a milestone the company has celebrated?
A: In 2020 we launched a brand film called “Remember this” that speaks to the belief we have as an agency. We are all very proud of the film, and it is narrated by a very talented spoken word artist, Marshall David Jones, who created the piece specifically for us.
Q: Liza, you’re located here in the Valley offering a personalized experience to clients. What can a client expect from working with you?
A: My clients will have a direct line to me. They can also expect my genuine interest in their ‘narrative.’ I enjoy learning about their families, passions, favorite travel destinations, lifestyles and more. Lastly, clients can rest assured that we have the right insurance markets and expertise required to create a personalized program that protects their assets. Insurance can be confusing and frustrating in today’s world. A client expects my assistance in sorting through the “noise” and providing them with a simple – yet sophisticated – insurance plan.
Q: What is an important industry-specific tip you can share?
A: Too many high-value homes in the valley are underinsured. Many mid-market insurance carriers are unable – or unwilling – to insure high-valued homes properly. Our ability to anticipate the needs of our clients and to ensure the program fits each of their unique lifestyles is what separates us from other agencies.
Q: What are some of your local favorites?
A: My husband and I love to dine on the patio at Spiga Cucina Italiana in North Scottsdale for date nights. Often times we can be found with our daughters at the Sugar Bowl in Old Town to satisfy our sweet tooth. Mastro’s Ocean Club is a favorite of my girlfriends and me for a night out.
Q: What do you love about living and working here in the Valley?
A: My family and I moved to the Valley six years ago, and I continue to be in awe of the beautiful desert landscape. The sunshine, blue skies and incredible weather are what keeps us here, in addition to the wonderful friendships we have created. I enjoy working with a variety of professionals, many clients of whom I have the privilege of assisting with personal insurance needs. As a non-native of the Valley, I love hearing many clients’ stories of the paths that brought them to Arizona.

Q: So many people have renovated their homes in the past year. What advice can you give someone about insuring their home and valuables after this process?
A: Yes, I am so glad you asked this question! This was such an unusual year. Home renovations including outside renovations were way up. It is important to review your home value as a result of any renovations. Remodels that include adding a home gym, home office, outdoor living space, or a pool can add value to your home – and making sure it’s covered correctly offers some peace of mind that we all crave in today’s world. Our homes took such great care of us this year, now is the time to return the favor!
