SASHA CLEMENTS
Editor & Owner
Sasha traces her passion for living locally to the vision of Robert E. Simon, who founded her hometown of Reston, Virginia. Simon designed the community to be a place for its residents to “Live, Work, and Play,” underscoring an enduring truth about patronizing local businesses.
Everything you need to live a beautiful life can be found within your own community.
Following a successful two-decade career building large national brands in the beverage business, Sasha found similar inspiration in her chosen home. She applied her experience as a marketing executive with Anheuser-Busch Inc. to the mission of supporting treasured local businesses, organizations, and charities in Arizona.
In the same way, the Southwest’s natural beauty provided new purpose for countless creatives; the Sonoran Desert’s expansive skylines offered room for her own imagination to roam. Her creativity flourished as she helped friends and neighbors live out their dreams and deepen connections within the communities they serve.
Yet it was the Valley’s entrepreneurial spirit that ignited Sasha’s desire to turn her passion for telling the story of a place and its people into a profession and bring The Scout Guide to Phoenix & Scottsdale.
Behind every storefront, Sasha sees the story. She understands the power of celebrating and promoting local businesses to elevate those whose unique contributions create a community’s identity. After all, telling unique stories in distinctive and meaningful ways has been Sasha’s lifelong work.
