Our Favorite Festive Nail Colors

With so many decisions to be made throughout the holiday season, selecting a nail polish color that can go the distance from cocktail parties to cookie baking-marathons should not be a source of stress. To help those stopping by the salon for a quick spruce-up choose with confidence, we asked a few of our TSG HQ colleagues to share their favorite picks for looking—and feeling—festive. Here are their go-to hues:

Austin Alley, Graphic Designer: “My favorite holiday colors are Rather Red by Butter London, a darker crimson that I wear all winter; Lincoln Park After Dark by OPI, an all-time favorite that’s a deep eggplant; and I Cannoli Wear OPI, a nice neutral for winter that’s kind of a snowy grey versus the typical blush pink.”

Amanda Powers, Digital Director: “I love Chanel’s nail polish colors. This time of year, Rouge Noir, a deep, rich red, is my go-to.”

Lizzy Girvan, Design Intern: “My favorite is Jiggle Hi, Jiggle Lo by Essie.” The cool gold gives off a subtle shine, making it the perfect metallic for New Year’s Eve.

Lily West, Managing Director: “My pick is Bordeaux by Essie. It reminds me of the cranberry garlands you put on trees!” Ideal for the holiday season, the hue (featured above) is like a fine wine—sophisticated and full of character.

Jackie Asbell, Graphic Designer: “One of my favorite holiday nail colors, which I happen to have on right now, is OPI’s Gimme Me a Lido Kiss.” A classic red with a touch of shimmer, it’s a statement-making festive pick.
