Scouted New Orleans Wedding: Ashton and Ian Sigl

Ashton Rabalais Sigl and Ian Sigl’s love story began in high school, culminating in a highly anticipated wedding on April 6th, 2024. Their journey from high school sweethearts to this celebration was made even more special by the professional expertise brought to the event. The bride’s parents, Kenny and Jennifer Rabalais, are the proud owners of two beloved New Orleans businesses, JADE and The Plant Gallery. Given their impeccable work around town, we knew this wedding would be nothing short of impressive. Ashton oversees marketing for JADE and The Plant Gallery, so her wedding was a professional masterpiece as well as personal milestone for her.

What we love most about this wedding are the classic New Orleans elements. From a second line following the rehearsal dinner at Arnaud’s to the bridal luncheon at Brennan’s and a rooftop performance by Jeremy Davenport, every detail was quintessentially New Orleans. With coordination by Z Event Company, exquisite florals and decor by The Plant Gallery, and a lively reception at the Rabalais home, Ashton and Ian’s wedding was a truly magical and unforgettable experience that encapsulated the essence of New Orleans at its finest.

Ashton and Ian’s New Orleans wedding weekend kicked off with a rehearsal dinner in the Jazz Bistro at Arnaud’s Restaurant. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, the couple enjoyed heartfelt speeches filled with laughter and tears and indulged in some of New Orleans’ finest cuisine. The tables featured stunning floral displays from The Plant Gallery. The Kinfolk Brass Band closed the night with a spirited second line, leading the party back to The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans, where the bride, groom, and family were staying for the weekend.

The festivities continued on Friday with a bridal luncheon in the Queen Room at Brennan’s in the French Quarter. Ashton and her bridesmaids enjoyed a delightful luncheon amidst beautiful floral accents, setting the perfect tone for the day.

The group then returned to The Ritz-Carlton, where Ashton and Ian welcomed their out-of-town guests with a glamorous welcome party in The Residence Suite, offering breathtaking views of the city. Guests mingled and watched the sunset over the New Orleans skyline as Jeremy Davenport performed.

Saturday marked the much-anticipated wedding day, meticulously planned and coordinated by Susan Zackin of Z Event Company. Ashton and her bridesmaids began their day in The Residence Suite, sharing laughs and sipping champagne. Across the hall, Ian and his groomsmen prepared for the day with lighthearted banter and IV treatments. The bridesmaids donned their dresses and exchanged playful greetings with the groomsmen. Ashton, assisted by her mother and aunt, slipped into her stunning floral Monique Lhuillier gown from Warron Barron Bridal in Dallas—a fitting nod to her upbringing with The Plant Gallery.

The bridesmaids, unaware of Ashton’s dress choice, were treated to a first look, while next door, Ian and his groomsmen dressed in white suits. Ashton shared a special moment with her father as she revealed her wedding gown. With final touches in place, the party made their way to St. Joseph Catholic Church. Guests entered the church to a breathtaking floral arch, candles, and more exquisite flowers by The Plant Gallery. The ceremony was a beautiful affair with love and emotion radiating throughout the church.

As the ceremony concluded, guests made their way to the Rabalais home in Old Metairie. They were welcomed with champagne and a stunning transformation of the family residence. The Plant Gallery masterfully reimagined the driveway, turning it into a tented masterpiece filled with greenery and florals. Guests mingled and sipped drinks while waiting for Ashton and Ian to arrive, enjoying the elegant setup provided by The Plant Gallery. The bar was stocked with specialty drinks and elegant glassware from JADE.

Messina’s Catering & Events served passed hors d’oeuvres and provided a beautiful buffet of food. Upon entering the home, guests were greeted by the wedding cake from Bittersweet Confections. The home’s decor perfectly complemented the wedding’s aesthetic, expertly styled by JADE’s Tina Lagasse and Jennifer Rabalais.

The reception was a lively celebration with guests dancing to the sounds of Blue Rhythm Band under beautiful florals from The Plant Gallery. Guests explored the different rooms of the Rabalais home, each exquisitely adorned for the reception. The kitchen featured a cheese and charcuterie display from St. James Cheese Company. The dining room boasted different sweet treats and the grooms cake from Bittersweet Confections. Near the dance floor, Messina’s created a stunning seafood display on ice sculptures from Ice Dragon Ice Sculptures. A second bar, a new addition to the Rabalais home designed by the JADE team, quickly became a guest favorite for mingling and grabbing drinks.

As the night progressed, guests made their way to the after party in the courtyard of the Rabalais home. Decorated with lights, inflatable globes, and a dance floor, the courtyard provided the perfect setting to keep the celebration going. A DJ and late-night bites kept the party going, capping off a truly magical wedding weekend for Ashton and Ian.
