K. McCarthy: Summer in Full Swing

This week, I had the joy of getting to virtually chat with Kathleen McCarthy Goff Weber of K. McCarthy in Green Hills. We chatted all things summer fun, what to wear to the pool, and how she started her thriving business. Keep reading to find more summer style inspiration…

What’s your favorite part of Nashville summer?

Definitely not the cicadas – ha! I think I’d have to say pool days and long nights!

What’s your favorite thing to wear during the summer?

A dress, but I’m not sure if thats summer specific. They’re just the easiest thing in the world to throw on – and look dressed, without much effort. Without a 2 and a 5 year old, I don’t always have a ton of time for the effort part, so throw on a cute/easy dress, a pair of sandals and my favorite LA Hagan earrings and I’m ready to run out the door!

What’s your pool/ beach day must have?

Oh, I think I’d have to say a sarong! They’re just the best for feeling covered but also not like you have a full cover up on the whole time you’re at the pool (or lake or beach) chasing around littles!

Ultimately, how did you start K. McCarthy?

We started 10 years ago in an old Little Debbie Truck! We were exclusively a fashion truck for two years and have been in a store front for eight! It’s so hard to believe we’ve already been in business for ten years! We are SO incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be part of the Nashville community! We couldn’t have sweeter customers who we are so grateful to call friends!
