Kate’s Three Favorite Reasons to Visit Minneapolis:

  1. The diverse art community. “Minneapolis has a strong and thriving performing arts community. In fact, the city is second only to New York in the number of theater seats per capita. Theatergoers can enjoy the brilliant Guthrie Theater, whimsical Children’s Theater Company, or head over to the Theater District, a stretch of Hennepin Avenue that three renovated historic theaters—the State, Orpheum, and Pantages Theater—call home to enjoy everything from local performances to Broadway productions.”
  2. All things food. “In an article prepping visitors of the Twin Cities for the 2019 Super Bowl, Esquire called Minneapolis ‘America’s most intriguing food and drink city that no one’s talking about.’ Food lovers can enjoy everything from an explosion of color, taste, and great energy at Billy’s Sushi in the North Loop; or stop by Pizza Lola, a casual, family-friendly eatery, and a James Beard Award winner; or maybe you’re craving the famous Lobster Roll at Smack Shack, a hip and vibrant destination on Washington Avenue; or an elegant evening at Demi, a pinnacle of Minneapolis fine dining. One thing is certain, Minneapolis’s vibrant restaurant scene won’t disappoint.”
  3. The great outdoors. “Known informally as the land of 10,000 lakes, Minneapolis has a very active outdoor community. Two short miles southwest of downtown, you can find three beautiful lakes within a small area: Lake Harriet, Bde Maka Ska, and Lake of the Isles. On any given day you’re sure to find families playing frisbee in the green space; couples taking an evening stroll on the walking paths and admiring the historic homes while sipping a cup of coffee; bicyclists pedaling on the paved paths; and even winter enthusiasts taking an afternoon run in the brisk Minnesota weather with their pups.”
