Meet Our Editor: MaryAnn
All the way from sunny Orange County, California is our very own Tucson Scout Guide editor, lover of coffee, wine, and traveling………… MaryAnn Wittmann. Although she loves spending time with loved ones on the beaches of Southern California, the Sonoran Desert runs through her veins. Having spent the majority of her life living in Tucson, Maryann considers the gem that is Southern Arizona to be her home.
A third-generation University of Arizona graduate, she is a true Wildcat and loves the strong sense of school spirit that runs through Tucson. “This is Wildcat country…… Bear Down, Arizona!”. Straight out of college MaryAnn began her career in account management with wireless technologies, then moved on to work for Intuit, and has been a licensed realtor in the state of Arizona since 2004. To top it all off, she is the mother of two wonderful kids and COO of Wittmann Family Enterprises.
She has spent the better part of the last 15 years cultivating Tucson community relationships and a deep knowledge of the non-profit sector throughout her professional career all while falling in love with Tucson along the way. She and her husband, Joe, a native of Tucson who is a commercial business owner/contractor, actively support the mission of civic leadership through community outreach and thoughtful volunteerism. MaryAnn is thrilled to introduce the TSG brand to Tucson and Southern Arizona, Tucson is a big “small” town and she believes it is time to highlight and showcase the artists, artisans, and entrepreneurs that make Tucson vibrant and unique.
