EXPERT TIPS
Sleep well. First and foremost, make an effort to get a full night of restful sleep. A well-rested mind and body can achieve so much!
Move everyday. This doesn’t have to mean a trip to the gym or a run in the neighborhood. Rather, it can be as simple as taking your dogs on a walk for 20-30 min, playing t-ball with your kids in the driveway, or stretching first thing in the morning.
Prepare. More specifically, meal prep at home. A few minutes at the beginning of the week to pre-wash and pre-cut will reap amble benefits when you have a ready-t0-go snack for yourself or little ones.
Set achievable goals. I like to set incremental goals that are building blocks to a larger goal. Goals are like a road map, after all. You can’t make much progress if you don’t know where you’re going! Plus, this method will provide built-in motivation (who doesn’t feel great when they achieve a goal?) and indicate, if you’re not reaching the goal, where to reevaluate and adjust.
Edit. Take time to evaluate the things, people, and experiences that add positive energy to your life on a daily basis — and those that don’t. Then, edit your life accordingly to increase interactions with what adds positivity and decrease what doesn’t.
