Meet Martha Gibson

Martha was born and raised in Augusta, Georgia, and attended Augusta State University.  Growing up in a small town as the daughter of local business owners she inherited a love and passion for showcasing and supporting other local businesses in her community.
After studying business, Martha went to work for her parents catering and production company where she was involved with the planning, operations, and execution of events ranging from small, intimate weddings to large corporate gatherings and concerts.  During this time she also started her own floral company, Windley Key Florals, and continues to produce arrangements for old and new clients throughout the year.
In the spring of 2019 Martha got engaged to Nickolas and they moved to Jacksonville, Florida, where he is stationed at Naval Station Mayport. In 2020 they married in her hometown and have since welcomed two little boys, Smith-James (2 years) and Hampton Monroe (15 months).  Jacksonville and the Beaches have become a community that they love and Martha looks forward to raising her family here as they continue to explore the beautiful area.
Introduced to The Scout Guide Augusta, Martha loved the concept of a small, women-owned guide highlighting local businesses within a community and immediately started looking into the feasibility of bringing the concept to Jacksonville. She is extremely excited to launch The Scout Guide Jacksonville Beaches & Ponte Vedra to showcase all of the amazing members of this unique community she and her family are proud to now call home.

Martha’s Favorite Reasons to Visit

Reason 1

A foodies dream: Jacksonville Beaches & Ponte Vedra will always have a piece of my heart for the food scene alone. From the food trucks to the brick and mortar restaurants, the beaches and Ponte Vedra have something to please every palate and it’s amazing!

Reason 2

A sporting playground: Whether you’re screaming “DUVALLL” at the top of your lungs at the Jags game, watching the Jumbo Shrimp make a double play, or catching a Hockey game, there’s always someone to cheer on and the enthusiastic Jacksonville Beaches and Ponte Vedra fan base is umatched.

Reason 3

An outdoor lover’s paradise: If you love communing with nature, then this is the place for you. You can always enjoy a day at the beach—lazing in the sun, playing in the surf, or scouring the sand for hundreds-year-old shark teeth—charter a boat for off-shore fishing, or enjoy some stargazing once the sun sets. There are countless ways to get outside and enjoy all that Mother Nature has to offer.
