Huntsville's Own Elitaire Boutique | A Lookbook of the Personal Style of Owner, Kayla Adams

The Scout Guide Huntsville Vol 2 Elitaire Boutique

This fun and dynamic “lookbook” in Vol. 2 was styled by Kayla Adams, owner of ELITAIRE BOUTIQUEASHLEY VAUGHN and I had so much fun and learned so much from Kayla in this photoshoot, so we asked her to share with our audience a little bit about each style and her thoughts behind each outfit choice!

Kayla told us, “Clean, Editorial, and Glossy, were just a few of the words that patrons have used to describe the look and feel of Elitaire when they walk in the store for the first time.”

She went on to say, “This description is always my favorite! Coming from a background in editorial fashion and journalism, this vibe is exactly what we wanted to portray. A magazine-type font is in our logo. When viewed on a desktop, our website was inspired by Harper’s Bazaar. And our vintage Vogue collection is placed throughout the store. So when our photoshoot for Scout Guide Huntsville Vol. 2 came around, we wanted to make sure that – first and foremost – we stayed on-brand. Secondly, we wanted you to be able to visualize yourself building an entire wardrobe within the four walls of Elitaire, from casual to cocktail; sneaker to stiletto. Thus, a lookbook layout was created.”

The whole middle row is dedicated to the classic duo - black and white! It is the most shopped area of the store. And it’s a color scheme that you can’t go wrong with any time of the year. Center: This is the Focal Point and it doesn’t get more cl Center Left: The classic black and white stripe is another theme in our store, from our black and white striped curtains to our wrapping paper. Here we chose a european-inspired vacation look to show versatility and casual travel accessories. Center Right: A casual, chic weekend look, mixed and matched with other staples you may already have in your closet. A go-to blazer, a graphic tee (this one was designed by our Lead Stylist, Katelyn Moshier) and classic white denim. For the top row Glenda the Good said it best: “Pink goes great with green!” It’s one of our favorite color combinations because it’s so fun and feminine! Top Left: We are a believer in the chic sneaker. Plus, we wanted the girl who isn’t a fan of Top Center: A classic blazer in a pop of color paired over an all white ensemble. So chic and ageless! Styled here with one of our leather wristlets for the girl on the go. Top Right: A classic cap sleeve dress in a gorgeous embroidered floral for the girl who loves a print. Styled here with a color blocked statement earring. The Bottom Row is dedicated to the second favorite color combo: red and purple. (Also a favorite combo when you flip through the pages of Vogue or Harper’s Bazaar!) Unexpected and yet somehow, it works. We decided to dedicate an entire row to this c Bottom Center: Another fun vacation style paired with a classic wide-brimmed hat! Bottom Right: Following the LBD in a close second is the Little Red Dress. Paired back with a classic sandal in an unexpected lavender. Easy and chic.
