Suzanne Carlisle of Golden Griffin

Welcome to our regular feature where we introduce you to the local people who bring such creativity and vision to our community.

We asked Suzanne Carlisle of Golden Griffin to tell us a bit about herself and her business. And we are so excited to share this special Scouted Spotlight interview here with you!

How many years have you been in business in Huntsville?

25 years!

What inspired you to start your own business?

My mother, Anita, who taught me the love of antiques, seeing the beauty in all things, and the value of a strong work ethic.

What is unique about Golden Griffin?

After 25 years, it has evolved to to where we are today- specializing in blending the new with the old in home interiors, mixing antiques with modern, and creating the look that can only be described as “Golden Griffin” while always focusing on the personal relationships we enjoy with our customers  and providing excellent customer service tied in beautiful bows!

Suzanne, when you’re not working, what else do you do?

I am dedicated to working with the Hunter Stephenson Felines and Canines Rescue Center to save and relocate unwanted animals of North Alabama. Spending time with my granddaughter, Ava Grace, family, and four fur babies of my own.

So what does “LOCAL” mean to you?

It means community, the many people who support our local businesses, and cherish the talented artisans we represent.

What is your favorite thing about Huntsville?

I love how this community pulls together to make our city a better place.

Words to live by…

Honesty and compassion will take you far.  And on the days when it doesn’t seem that way, just remember IGBOK-It’s Gonna Be Ok! Have faith.

What’s on your desk right now?

A mess!!

Nail polish in any shade of lavender, my signature color!

Is there anything else you want us to know?
