SCOUTED | Tweetsville and All That's New at the Huntsville Botanical Garden for Summer

Summer is here! Dawn visits with Anna Beck at the Huntsville Botanical Garden to learn about the Garden’s newest area, Tweetsville, and all of the ways to engage with community and nature this summer. Peak Butterfly Season (May – September) – Peak Butterfly Season is back in the Purdy Butterfly House! May through September is the best time of year to come see the butterflies in our open-air habitat. Please note that for the health of all the creatures in the habitat, there are no longer turtles in the butterfly house.

In Full Swing (June 10 – October 31) – Featuring over 40 swings of all shapes and sizes in nine areas throughout the Garden, In Full Swing will be our summer exhibit this year. From porch swings to hammocks to swings the size of a twin bed, each area offers a new way to experience some of the Garden’s best views. In Full Swing will be open during regular Garden hours and included with regular Garden admission.

Stickwork – Stickwork is still open every day. We have a short video coming out soon about how Stickwork was created, so stay tuned!

Dog Nights at the Garden (Every Monday, May – August) – Four-legged friends are welcome in the Garden every Monday night beginning at 5pm!

The Golden Hour (Every Wednesday, May – August) – The Golden Hour is back! Join us for food, drinks, and live music on Wednesday evenings.

Firefly Garden Hikes (Every Tuesday, June – July) – Enjoy family-friendly guided night hikes in the Garden. Registration will open soon!

Wacky Wednesdays (Every Wednesday, June – July) – Join us for games, toys, crafts, snacks, and more in the Children’s Garden! Free with admission.

Butterfly Releases (May 21, June 11 & 19, July 9 & 23, and August 13) – These popular programs fill up quickly, so be sure to register early!

Family Campouts (June 17-18, July 15-16, August 19-20) – Stay overnight at the Garden, featuring a night hike, s’mores, and more.
