Meet the Member: Tracy Henry of Tennilove Houston

We are so thrilled to launch Volume 6 of The Scout Guide Houston in December 2021. So thrilled, in fact, we can’t wait for the official launch to start introducing the local business owners who will grace this year’s guide!

Follow along as we share their stories, inspiration and motivation in our newest series, Meet the Members. Up next, Tracy Henry, owner of our go-to tennis (and pickleball!) outfitter, Tennilove Houston.

The Scout Guide Houston: We are so thrilled to welcome you and Tennilove to The Scout Guide Houston! To start us off, will you tell our readers a little bit about Tennilove?
Tracy Henry: Absolutely! Tennilove is a small-batch tennis clothier for the lady who wants to stand out in a crowd.

TSG Houston: Is Tennilove just for tennis?
TH: Not at all! We create clothes that take you from the court – whether it’s tennis or the latest craze, Pickleball – to cocktails.

TSG Houston: What inspired you to take the entrepreneurial leap with Tennilove?
TH: My heart is in tennis. It keeps me healthy in mind, body, and spirit. And it felt like the right time to take a risk to promote and share something that I love so much.

TSG Houston: Can you tell us about your love story with tennis?
TH: I never dreamed I would play tennis, but I started playing in my mid-30s and fell in love. Now, I own a tennis boutique and get to play my way through matches, one gorgeous outfit at a time!

TSG Houston: Can you tell us what you love about the business aspect of your love for the sport? What is the best part about Tennilove?
TH: Meeting all the new ladies who share my love for tennis.

TSG Houston: How do you stay inspired?
TH: I share the joy of tennis with our designer and my friends. Because I spend so many hours with fabulous, educated, cultured, and exciting women, it’s hard not to be inspired!

TSG Houston: When you’re not playing tennis or outfitting Houston’s best players, where can we find you?
TH: El Tiempo Cantina or Uncle Julios are favorites for dinner and happy hour!

TSG Houston: Speaking of favorites, you’ve lived in Houston for over 20 years, do you have a favorite part of town?
TH: Memorial, for sure!

TSG Houston: One last question: tennis plays a big part in your life, but do you have any other tips for balancing work and life to share with those who might not play the sport?
TH: Absolutely! While my children have left the nest, achieving balance is still hard. My best advice is to try to be available for and present in each moment.

We look forward to sharing more of Tracy and Tennilove’s story with you over the next year – in the meantime, make sure to follow along on Instagram and shop your new favorite tennis outfits online.
