Meet Kendall Singleton

Born and raised in Jackson, Mississippi, Kendall planted roots in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, in 2017 with her husband, Russ. She graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in marketing. Ever the entrepreneur, she started her own art business while still in college. Through her art Kendall was featured in The Scout Guide Jackson and she fell in love with the mission of TSG—showcasing businesses that make a city unique and special. With her artistic eye, background in marketing, and experience in recently publishing her own coffee table book, she couldn’t pass up the opportunity to be the owner of The Scout Guide in her city. She is passionate about the local places that make a city worth living in and traveling to, and loves exploring new and fun spots wherever she goes. Already versed in marketing, photo styling, and social media for her art, Kendall can’t wait to support and share more about the amazing local businesses across the Pine Belt!

In her free time Kendall loves to read, cook, stay active outside on a beautiful day, and spend time with her family and friends.

Kendall’s Favorite Reasons to Visit

Reason 1

The South. Hattiesburg is a town where you’ll definitely experience southern hospitality and meet great people. It’s a very family friendly town. Another great thing is you can be out on a beautiful lake on some quiet land in one part of town and just a few minutes away you have access to a metropolitan area, so it’s the best of both worlds!

Reason 2

It’s the Hub City. Hattiesburg is considered the ‘Hub City’ because of its unique position in the geographical center of New Orleans, Jackson, and the Florida/Alabama beaches. Wonderful weekend getaways are so easy to get to.

Reason 3

The food. Whether you want an incredible steak, Creole cuisine, Tex Mex, or a down home southern meal, our town has it all in the form of local restaurants.
