SCOUTED: Our Favorite Black-Owned Businesess

Today is the first day of Black History Month! We love supporting Black-owned businesses this month and always! We are so lucky to have an incredible assortment of Black-owned businesses in the Triad! Check out a few of our favorites!

Dame’s Chicken and Waffles

301 Martin Luther King Drive, Greensboro, NC

Our office is located right around the corner from this Greensboro staple! With options of different drizzles and smear you can truly experience a different dish every time you go! Owners Dame and Randy were college roommates and fraternity brothers at UNCG. After college, Dame opened up a catering business and found that his chicken and waffles feature was a big hit! Dame reconnected with Randy and decided to open Dame’s Chicken and Waffles! If you go on a weekend, be sure to give yourself some time for the wait!

Uncle Cheesecake

3800 Tinsley Drive, Suite 111, High Point, NC

Daniel Monkonjay Gray spent years trying to perfect his favorite dessert – cheesecake! After finally coming up with the “Carolina Style Cheesecake”, he would bring his famous cheesecake to friends and family. He would experiment with different flavors which ultimately led to him hearing that he ruined store-bought cheesecakes forever! Thus, Uncle Cheesecake was born!
