Spring 2023 Member Mingle
Earlier this month, we had the privilege of hosting Volume 9 Members for our customary spring soiree. Bursting with the season’s blooms — sumptuous hydrangeas and vivid begonias — Westland Gardens served as the perfect gathering place. Thank you to each and every one of our members who joined us and the lovely Canon Sawyer of Canon Elizabeth Photography, who so wonderfully captured our time together.
Volume 9 members and special guests of The Scout Guide Fort Worth received custom invitations designed by P.S. The Letter, hinting at the affair ahead. Past a balloon installation designed by Stellar Balloons — which featured blue hues as a nod to Volume 9 cover colors — guests gathered in the nursery grounds to mix and mingle.
Several Volume 9 Members collaborated to create a fabulous — and delicious — evening. Culinary favorites, Ellerbe Fine Foods, designed a delightful drink menu complemented by beer and wine offerings. Signature cocktails included the fan-favorite “The Hospitali-Tea” (housemade lemonade, simple syrup, peach-infused vodka, and tea) and a Farm-to-Glass Ranch Water (housemade epicurean cilantro mico-green + lime simple syrup, La Pulga Blanco, tajin rim, and Rambler). To add an element of whimsy, all beverages were served from The Rockin’ Horse Mobile Bar. Of course, the bar wouldn’t be complete without a hand-lettered menu courtesy of our go-to calligrapher, Morgan DeGarmo of Calligraphy by MD.
Alongside signature cocktails, Ellerbe Fine Foods treated guests to a delicious menu of light bites. In customary Ellerbe Fine Foods fashion, the appetizers were inspired by the season. The menu included Spring Greens & Ricotta Tartlet, Seared Beef Canape, and Whipped Chèvre and Roasted Beet. For something sweet post-party, the talented Tareka Lofton of Loft22 Cakes whipped up Chocolate Pecan and Strawberry guests were invited to take home.
In addition to great company and conversation, we were treated to live performance by Jacob Armitage. Thank you to Worth Noting Designs for the custom swag, Rent-A-Frog for providing valet and Teresa’s Catering for appetizer service. And, most importantly, thank you to our lovely members for joining us at fellow Volume 9 Member, Westland Gardens. We can’t wait for our next get together!
