Spring 2022 Member Mingle
Last week, Volume 8 members, family, and special friends gathered at William Campbell Gallery’s newest location on Foch Street for The Scout Guide’s Annual Spring Event. With the gallery’s vibrant exhibition, Kremer/Kleberg/Reverb, as a backdrop, it was a wonderful evening of inspiring conversation and connection. We loved the chance to visit with some of the most notable local business owners to celebrate our network and welcome new members.
Special thanks to Canon Sawyer of Canon Elizabeth Photography for capturing the evening so beautifully. Keep reading for the details about all those who brought the evening to life…
Party guests had the unique opportunity to gather and experience William Campbell Gallery’s newest location and view new works by Paul Kremer and Matt Kleberg.
Event entry was flanked by a beautiful and colorful balloon display by POP!, which served as a visual delight and photo op which hinted at the vibrant works on display within.
Event guests received a custom invitation – designed by Worth Noting Designs, that hinted at the spirit of the affair. Karen Johnson and Audrey Hampy of Worth Noting Designs coupled with Morgan DeGarmo of Calligraphy by MD really nailed the style and design that helped set the tone for the evening through creative lettering and pop-art colors.
Peacock Farm and Flower enhanced the color-fueled theme throughout the event with locally-grown spring blooms. The arrangements were absolutely stunning – works of living art that complimented the gallery walls.
Farm-to-table extraordinaire, Ellerbe Fine Foods, designed a fabulous bar program and hors d’oeuvres menu, delivering delicious spring signature cocktails, wine pairings, and passed light bites consisting of local ingredients.
Menu included:
Housemade Lamb Rillette with Fine Herb Salsa Verde, Greek Feta, English Cucumber
Whipped Chevre & B&G Garden Asparagus, with Puff Pastry, Shaved Serrano, Crushed Pistachios
Shines Farm Radish Toastpoint, Parsley and Plugra, Red Hawaiian Sea Salt
Wild Isle Salmon Canape, Citrus Fennel Vinaigrette, Spanish Olives, Saffron Aioli, Crispy Potato
Signature cocktails:
Wild Berry Vodka Smash with Titos, Fresh Raspberries & Blueberries, Mixed Berry Simple Syrup topped with Prosecco Rosé.
Socorro Blanco Mule featuring Socorro Blanco Tequila, Citrus Simple Syrum, Ginger beer, Tajin Rim, and Lime.
For something sweet, the lovely Tareka Lofton of Loft22 Cakes whipped up delightful Pineapple Upside Down Cakes individually served in darling, delicate jars.
Throughout the evening, local musician, Benton Lawson, played some familiar favorites like “Bennie and the Jets”, “Purple Rain” and “She will be Loved” along with some original tunes such as “What Could It Be Like” and “Prove Me Wrong” which helped make the affair lively and fun!
As a parting gift, Volume 8 members were able to take home a personalized hand-lettered copy of the guide designed by Morgan DeGarmo of Calligraphy by MD.
We cannot recommend each of these fabulous locals enough, they are truly so talented! It was a great way to kick off the season!
