Celebrating Volume 9!

Volume 9 has officially launched! And to celebrate the most comprehensive guide yet, Volume 9 Members, friends, and family gathered at the beautiful home of Lisa and Ryan Moore. Both the culmination of a year’s hard work and the kick-off of another year of supporting Fort Worth’s local business community, it was truly an evening to remember.

Thank you to the many scouted members who contributed to the magic of the evening, including the talented Canon Sawyer of Canon Elizabeth Photography, who captured every detail so beautifully.

We cannot begin to thank our friends, family, and Scout Guide community enough – not only for being a part of the book and the wonderful celebration – but for the opportunity to tell your stories. And, if the launch of Volume 9 was any indicator, we have a magnificent year ahead!

Keep reading for all of the exquisite details… XO!

This year’s celebration of a new guide was held at the exquisite home of Lisa and Ryan Moore. As with previous launch parties, we scouted a location that showcased the talent of one of our members. The Moore residence, designed and built by Volume 9’s Brent Hull of Hull Homes, certainly fit the bill. Though a new construction, the home demonstrates Hull Work’s quintessential feeling of history and heritage, offering a truly stunning backdrop for the evening.

Volume 9 members and special guests of The Scout Guide Fort Worth received custom invitations designed by P.S. The Letter. The talented stationers looked to the Moore residence for inspiration, offering a nod to the home’s architectural elements in their use of gold arches and selecting the same shade of green as the front door for the invitation and matching liner. Hand addressing by Morgan DeGarmo of Calligraphy by MD served as an extra special personal touch. Morgan also lent her talents to personalizing copies of Volume 9 for members.

The beautiful blues of Volume 9 inspired every detail, including a spectacular floral display framing an enlarged Volume 9 cover backdrop by Peacock Farm & Flower.

With vessels from the homeowner’s collection, Cailey Walton Floral Designs created beautiful arrangements for placement throughout the party. We love how she incorporated Volume 9’s cover colors!

No detail was spared, from the ribbons around complimentary copies of the guide to custom koozies, branded napkins to a beautiful balloon installation by POP Fort Worth! A special thank you to the locally-owned Grand Events, which provided the event rentals, lighting, and display pieces.

Upon arrival, guests were treated to specialty cocktails by Scout Guide Alum, Righteous Foods. The cocktails, inspired by Volume 9 colors, included Blueberry Collins and Peruvian Purple Corn Punch. In addition to cocktails – which were a smash hit – Righteous Foods provided Modelo, red wine, rosé, and cocktails. Ellerbe Fine Foods offered additional white and red wine pairings to round out the adult beverage options.

Righteous Foods also provided light bites for the evening, including Bison Pintxos with Zucchini and Romesco; Grilled Eggplant Bocadillo with Fresh Mozzarella, Kumato, Tomato, and Pesto; Shrimp Ceviche with Castelvetrano Olive, Mango, and Little Gem Lettuce; Ahi Tuna and Mojo de Ajo Rice Cake; and Yellow Tail Crudo with Roasted Tomato Vinaigrette and Jalapeño.

Buoyed by delightful bites and beverages, guests perused a signature Scout Guide party feature: the book bar. Filled with volumes from favorite destinations near and far, guests were invited to add to their own collections. And snag a few extra copies of The Scout Guide Volume 9!

The brilliant and talented Tareka Lofton of Loft22 Cakes delivered the most gorgeous spread of sweets, including a trio of cakes inspired by Volume 9 cover colors, cupcakes, and chocolate hearts. All were as delicious as they were beautiful.

Talented local musicians offered entertainment for the evening, with Jacob Armitage serenading guests outside. Indoors, Editor Leigh Brown and Homeowner Lisa Moore’s dear friend, Sir Charles Camper, took to the piano.
