What I’m Wearing

Custom Loft22 Birthday Cake // My husband’s birthday is around the corner and I just ordered his favorite cake from Loft22 Cakes. What I’m Drinking
My Husband’s Old Fashioned // The past year saw quite the brush up in my husband’s bartending skills. I’m currently loving his take on this classic cocktail, and he’s graciously shared his recipe.
Crush 1 original maraschino cherry by Luxardo in the bottom of an old-fashioned glass
Add 1 sugar cube and a couple of shakes of orange bitters
Add two shots of Blanton’s Bourbon Whiskey
Garnish with an orange peel
What I’m Gifting
Waterford Crystal Coaster from PS the Letter // These coasters are so versatile as they can be used for a bottle of wine, mixed nuts on a bar, or even a vessel for dip. Right now I love gifting one with a special bottle of wine from Ellerbe Fine Foods or 38 & Vine. It’s the perfect hostess gift.
What I’m Watching
Firefly Lane on Netflix // I just finished watching this romantic drama that’s based on Kristin Hannah’s best selling novel. Starring Katherine Heigl (Grey’s Anatomy) and Sarah Chalke (Scrubs), it’s a story about friendship, family, heartbreak, and controversy. The jury is still out on whether or not it will be picked up for a second season. Fingers crossed!
