30th Annual Design Inspirations
On March 1st and 2nd, Fort Worth’s Alumnae Associations of Kappa Kappa Gamma and Pi Beta Phi gathered for the 30th year of Design Inspirations. Held at Ridglea Country Club, the event featured beautifully designed tables that will, like years past, inspire tablescapes in Fort Worth and beyond.
For the 30th year of Design Inspirations, guests were invited to preview the gorgeous tables – many of which were designed by Volume 9 (and one Volume 10!) members – ahead of a luncheon featuring keynote speaker and renowned interior designer Katie Ridder.
A member of Elle Décor’s A-List and included in both House Beautiful and New York Magazine’s “Top 100” designer lists, Katie’s exquisitely balanced design work has also been featured in Architectural Digest, Veranda, Town & Country, House & Garden, The New York Times, and the Wall Street Journal. Her latest work is featured in the 6th Annual Kips Bay Decorator Show House in Palm Beach.
The Design Inspirations event is not only inspiring but impactful. Over it’s 30 years, the annual two-day event has distributed a total of $1.65 Million to community organizations in Fort Worth. This year’s beneficiaries included two wonderful local organizations, Gill Children’s Services Inc. and Breakthrough Fort Worth.
Gill Children’s Services has been the safety net for Tarrant County children, providing funding for unmet medical, dental, physical, social, psychological, and educational needs. For many, Gill Children’s Services is a last resort and only hope. And since its founding, Gill has never turned away a child in need.
Similarly, Breakthrough Fort Worth serves Fort Worth and Tarrant County children. A leader in education equity, Breakthrough Fort Worth provides access and opportunity to students from under-resourced communities traditionally underrepresented in higher education. Breakthrough Fort Worth bridges the gap for high-achieving students across Fort Worth through a student-teaching-student model to help bright young minds reach – and prepare success at – higher education.
For those who didn’t have an opportunity to view the tables at the sold-out Design Inspirations event, we’ve rounded up our favorite details from tables designed by Scouted members, as photographed by the lovely Volume 9 Member, Canon Sawyer. And special thanks to Volume 9 Member, Simple Things, which provided gorgeous entry table accessories.
