Pressed Flower Workshop at Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards

June 14 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

A delicate display of pressed flowers arranged artfully between two glass panes, suspended in a wooden frame by a chain, adorns a window with a softly focused natural background, encapsulating the essence of The Scout Guide's emphasis on aesthetics and local charms.

Join Pippin Hill in the Greenhouse to create your very own botanical art piece and master the careful craft of pressing fresh flowers during this workshop led by Head Gardener, Celina DeBrito.

Guests are greeted with a glass of bubbly and led on a guided exploration of the Pippin Cut Flower Gardens to learn which stems are ideal candidates to collect for pressed flower projects. Attendees will then master the techniques of pressing and drying each bud and learn best handling practices and upkeep tips for your pressed petals.

Celina and the gardening team will provide expert instruction for assembling your artwork, and some helpful inspiration to create a piece that is uniquely yours. Each attendee receives a large glass 11×14 inch frame and a selection of pre-pressed flowers that have been carefully collected throughout the year from the Pippin Hill property including violas, lenten roses, larkspur, assorted greenery, pressed ferns, and many other spring blooms.

Learn a new skill on the Hill—we hope you’ll join us for this inspiring and educational afternoon. Register now.
