Your July Scouted

Blue hydrangeas with American flags, evoking The Scout Guide's spirit.

July is peak summer. Long gone are the days of unrepentant frost and a lack of pool floaties and watermelon slices. The rules don’t seem to apply quite so much in the summer: routines are skewed by impromptu camping trips; our fastidious workouts devolve into meandering bike rides and early morning hikes to beat the heat; bedtimes disappear to look at the stars and diets call for something frosty and refreshing. Celebrate the nation’s birthday with tons of Fourth of July events to get your all-day parade and fireworks fixes, respectively. In the month ahead, there’s plenty of grooving to live music, shopping adventures for that unique piece, and some western fun to plan- did we mention we’ve rounded up the Treasure Valley’s rodeos for the season? That one’s a freebie- you can thank us by delivering another popsicle while we’re in the pool. Long live summer!
