Commission your very own artwork with Alicia Chimento
Have you ever dreamed of commissioning your very own piece of art? We spoke to our Scouted artist, Alicia Chimento, to learn how to start this process.
As anyone who knows Alicia might imagine, her commissioned art work process is relatively simple and stress free.
Alicia starts by getting an idea of what you are looking for in terms of size, color, feeling, or anything else you think might be pertinent. She suggests that you look at her website to see if you see something that works for you. She can then work from that selection to understand the vibe you want.
Once she knows the size of the work desired, Alicia is able to give you an idea of timing for completion. She always sends along a few in progress pictures to ensure that you are all on the same page. If you are lucky enough to be a local client, Alicia invites you to visit her studio to see your masterpiece in progress. Trust us, a visit to Alicia’s studio is to be treasured. You will feel as if you have stepped into a secret garden and be delighted to discover the peaceful and serene artist’s studio you had pictured in your mind.
The price of an Alicia Chimento commissioned piece is no different than the pricing listed on her website and it is based on the size of the work. There is no complicated formula. The way she looks at pricing is similar to the way she looks at art. Alicia’s approach is, “If you love what I do, great! If not, I’ll love it anyway, so I can use it in a show, exhibition.”
Alicia is happy to work on commission pieces of all sizes, from small canvases to large panels. She suggests you look on her website to get a sense of scale. Before initiating any custom piece, Alicia works with her clients to ensure the finished piece will fit perfectly in its place.
Alicia regularly works with individuals and interior designers and her gorgeous abstract and landscape paintings have brought joy to homes in New Jersey, the Hudson Valley, her beloved Cape Cod and beyond.
