As small business advocates who are constantly scouting their communities for local finds to share and celebrate, and as dynamic and creative women who tend to seek out inspiration in a variety of areas, TSG editors are excellent sources of unique recommendations. We recently caught up with The Scout Guide Bergen County editors Chris Doherty and Eileen Sweeney to find out what they’re really into these days. Here, they share their latest obsessions, which include British period pieces they can’t stop streaming, a delectable Brussels sprouts recipe, a not-to-miss sale, and much more.

1. WHAT I’M WEARING

Brett Lauren Bracelets // “These are the most versatile pieces of jewelry I own—and I wear them every day. The colorful gemstones work with any outfit, any time. People always compliment and want to know where to buy them.” —Eileen

2. WHAT I’M DECORATING WITH

Toledo Geller’s Decorating Advice // “I’m taking [Franklin Lakes, New Jersey-based boutique interior design firm] Toledo Geller’s advice and adding some color to my family room. I’m freshening up my throw pillows and adding a cozy throw.” —Chris

3. WHAT I’M COVETING

Sarah Otts Lelia Print // “I fell in love with Sarah’s art when I discovered her work in The Scout Guide Mobile Bay. I was immediately drawn to her colorful and happy sweeping stroke, but as I started to follow her, I fell more in love with her art and her message: Be all that you are and nothing you are not. Every time I enter my home I see her print hanging in my living room and it truly is a bright spot, even on a dreary winter day.” —Eileen

4. WHAT I’M EATING

Crispy Brussels Sprouts with Aioli and Pomegranate // “A standby in my house is these Brussels sprouts from Peppercorn Events, along with B&M’s skirt steak marinated in their famous scallion sauce. There are never any leftovers—and believe me, it’s hard to please a family of seven.” —Eileen

5. WHERE IM SHOPPING

Backyard Living // “I’m about to do a big outdoor landscape renovation with Scenic Landscaping, and I’m not going to miss the Backyard Living pre-season furniture sale.” —Chris

6. WHAT WERE WATCHING

The Crown, Bridgerton, and Victoria // “We’ve been obsessively streaming all the British content. After The Crown, we went straight into the modernized period piece Bridgerton. Then, continuing the theme, it was on to Victoria. The costumes and story are amazing.” —Eileen

7. WHAT I’M READING

Picking Cotton by Jennifer Thompson-Cannino and Ronald Cotton // “This memoir about race relations, injustice, and forgiveness is very timely.” —Chris
