Decorating with Fruit

 

When it comes to decorating for the holidays it’s easy to fall into the same traditional red and green color scheme. One of our favorite places to shop for decorations is the local grocery store. When paired with greens, fresh fruits offer great color and shape to a mantel or table. String a beautiful kumquat garland or fill bowls with satsuma oranges or pears (we especially love any fruit with its leaves still attached).

Here are our picks for this season:

• Favorite fruits: lady apples, clementines, kumquats, baby pears, and pomegranates
• Favorite greens: seeded eucalyptus, dusty miller, and magnolia
