When did you start working at TSG?
January 2012, and then again April 2015
Where are you from?
What do you do at TSG HQ?
I manage all franchise and company contracts, working closely with our team at HQ and our editors on policy updates and improvements to our franchise system. I also work with our staff to implement resourcing and office policies that help us all do our best work!
How did you arrive at TSG?
I was a big fan of TSG Charlottesville from the very beginning and enjoyed following Susie’s original blog while I was a student at UVA. I wanted to be an editor for my hometown, but Christy and Susie convinced me to move back to Charlottesville to work at the HQ office! When I needed to move again to join my husband in D.C. I had to say goodbye to my TSG family, but I returned in April 2015 and I am so happy to be back!
What’s on your desk?
Right now? My laptop, headphones, a candle, my TSG notebook made by Appointed (I love this notebook!), and a glass of water. At any given time? A random assortment of papers and post-its depending on what documents I’m reviewing or drafting.
Words to live by?
“Own a pet. Call your parents. Create a comfortable living space. Be happy for other people. Cultivate friendships. Follow your fear. Prepare don’t plan. But mostly, have a really fun time.” —Eric Stonestreet in Katie Couric’s book The Best Advice I Ever Got
Favorite vacation destination?
Captiva / Sanibel Island, Florida. My parents honeymooned there and took us all back years later! It’s beautiful and still remote enough that you really feel like you’ve gotten away and can relax in a cozy hammock.
What’s in your bag?
The essentials—wallet, iPhone, lip balm, Honest hand sanitizer, a spare pen, a lolipop (you caught me, I always have something sweet), and a few lost bobby pins.
Best part about working at TSG?
Unique birthday celebrations. These have included chips and queso, root beer floats, froyo…anything your heart desires!
What’s your TSG obsession?
Leontine Linens. I love it all and I’ve started a small collection since seeing them in TSG New Orleans, Volume 1.
“That’s so TSG”:
My love for my dog Brody exceeds all other loves in my life. My husband understands that he is second (a close second, but second nonetheless).
