About TSG Jackson Hole Editor Meagan Murtagh:
Meagan found her way to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, after falling in love with the mountains while studying at the University of Colorado in Boulder. A ski trip first brought her to the slopes of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, and her passion for powder skiing began. The locals say “You come here for the winters, but stay for the summers,” and that couldn’t ring more true for Meagan. She fell in love with everything outdoors, the incredible Teton Mountain Range, but most importantly the small town community.
Meagan has been working for Jackson Hole Sotheby’s International Realty since 2008, and as a creative outlet she started her lifestyle blog, The Egg Out West, which gained popularity locally and nationally. While attending a friend’s wedding in Charlottesville, she was introduced to The Scout Guide, and was immediately hooked. Bringing this concept to one of the most amazing communities in the country quickly became a true passion for Meagan, and she launched Volume 1 in August of 2014.
Meagan’s Three Favorite Reasons to Visit Jackson Hole, Wyoming:
- The Outdoors. “Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park are our backyard playgrounds. We are beyond grateful for the access to these incredible places. My bucket list is never ending, and there is always something to be conquered with your closest friends.”
- The People.“The love and support of one another and every unique talent is the main reason I brought The Scout Guide to JH. I’ve never experienced a community as close as Jackson Hole. The people truly care deeply for the wellbeing of this town and each other. The laid-back, friendly-cool vibe is contagious!”
- The Skiing. “It doesn’t get much better than this, folks!”
