About TSG Cincinnati Editor Lisa Holland Hoberg:
Lisa was born and raised in Suffolk, Virginia, which just so happens to be the former peanut capital of the world. After graduating from James Madison University, she moved to Virginia Beach and went to work as Marketing Director for her father’s small chain of convenience stores.
When Lisa married a Navy fighter pilot, they embarked on a stint on the West Coast, then headed back to the East Coast before finally settling down in Cincinnati. They now have three-year-old identical twin girls named Alexandra and Brooklyn.
Lisa loves to explore all things Cincinnati, meet amazing entrepreneurs, and share her finds with the world. She’s also a lover of all things with fur and adores her black lab, Kingston, and Persian cat, Puffy. The Hobergs enjoy eating out, playing at parks, seeing movies, and traveling to visit family and friends throughout the United States.
Lisa’s three favorite reasons to visit Cincinnati:
- Graeters Ice Cream. “Handspun, melt-in-your-mouth amazingness, it’s a Cincinnati favorite.”
- The Cincinnati Zoo. “This is my family’s favorite activity. Our zoo is on all of the best-in-the-nation lists, with over 1.5 visitors annually. More than 500 animals live there, so you see something different no matter how many times you visit. (The lions and polar bears are Hoberg family favorites.)”
- Microbreweries Galore. “Cincinnati has more than 30 breweries, brewpubs, and nanobreweries in operation. If you like beer, you will love Cincinnati!”
