The smell of fresh muffins is wafting through Charleston, and it’s coming from an unexpected source. Jessica Henson, baker-extraordinaire, has returned to town and, even better, returned to her old stomping ground at Bull Street Gourmet. The original, on Bull Street.
It all started with a sandwich. I began popping into Bull Street for a weekly carb-splurge on the Mozzarella sandwich. And then, every time I needed a good bottle of wine. Now, those muffins are calling my name.
There is almost always a parking spot right out front and the food never disappoints. If I could exist on wine and cheese alone, Bull Street would be the only stop on my grocery run. A girl can dream!
